Offtake arrangement

Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) will have the first right of purchase; such purchases may be made in whole or part as per the requirement of UPCL. The price of electricity to be purchased by UPCL will be determined by UERC.

Grid interfacing

Transmission and distribution augmentation

UPCL/Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd (PTCUL)

Transmission company

UPCL/PTCUL will seek to transmit through its grid the power generated and make it available to the producer, for captive use or third party sale within/outside the State, for which wheeling charges uniformly applicable to all producers would be announced in advance.

Time schedule/ penalty provisions

Mandatory to start project activities within six months of getting all the necessary statutory clearances.

Incentives by State Government

Banking charges

UPCL would extend banking facilities to the developers at mutually agreed terms.

Single window clearance

Renewable energy (RE) projects involve sanctions/clearances from a number of Government Agencies/Departments. The State Government would provide requisite clearances in a time bound manner through a single window mechanism.

Other promotional schemes

State would encourage projects to obtain the benefits available under Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
